Youth Empowerment in Hizmet Diwan
"Youth Empowerment In Hizmet" is part of Diwan, a series of brainstorming meetings organized by Respect Graduate School and Risale and Hizmet Research Center. It was held on September 27-28, 2024, from 15:00 to 19:00 (EST) as an online Zoom meeting with 242 participants. At the end of the Diwan, a Final Declaration was created through in-depth discussion and voting on the items. This declaration does not claim to have the last word on “Youth Empowerment”. However, it aims to raise awareness and stimulate action, debate, publications and research on “Youth Empowerment”.
Prior to the event, a survey was conducted to gather the state of the art. The results of this survey were also presented during the Diwan meetings. Six papers were presented on the first day of the meetings. On the second day, participants actively joined the discussions. A collective effort was made toward the Final Declaration, initially by the organizing team and later with the involvement of participants. On the second day of the Diwan, participants and some of the paper authors engaged in the discussions. The draft declaration was reviewed and voted on, item by item. After the final vote on the complete draft, the Final Declaration was officially finalized.
